Ikea Skadis Hanger Clips

Skadis Hanger Clips

I like the Ikea Skadis pegboard I bought a few months back. It is nicer than traditional pegboard. There were no clips available for the metal hanger hooks to help secure them to the board, so I designed my own.

The hooks fit loosely, so I have to be over careful when removing my pliers or angle clippers in order to make sure the hooks doesn’t come off the board.

The clips simply click in to place, and are fairly secure, so they may be difficult to remove.

The 40mm is the best size as it can fit over the hook wire and span two nearby holes.

The 80mm is double wide and can cross over a hole. This works well if you want to place the clip a little lower and the closer holes do not line up.

The 40mm edge clips allow for clicking in to a single hole and on the side of the board. This is good for hooks hanging in the holes closest to the edge.

3d Printed Bicycle Light Mount

Simon on the new Baby Bicycle Seat

I got a new baby bike seat for my bicycle which came with a new rack. The baby seat blocks the view of my taillight which I kept on the seat post, so I needed a new mount to go on the rack. I found a nice design on thingiverse which matched my Cygolite and printed out a copy.

The light had a good fit and even clicked in.

Wooden Toy Car

I made Simon a little wooden toy car, it’s kind of like one of the pinewood derby cars. I cut it out from scrap 2×4 and 3d printed the wheels.

I tried using nails first, but I couldn’t find any with a good fit. Simon was getting too impatient at the store, so I bought a multi-box, but didn’t have any luck with what was in it. I ended up using some small screws instead.

Skadis Pegboard Controller Holder

Steam Controller mounted to Ikea Skadis Pegboard

I liked the fit of the Reasonably Universal Controller Hook for IKEA SKÅDIS Pegboard design for my steam controller, but it did not fit in the Skadis pegboard correctly and the peg holders on the back were too tough to print.

I remixed the design to add a couple of square holes which fit the Skadis Universal Hook so it can be printed out as separate parts. Now it fits nice and tight on the pegboard without wobbling and without needing to sand down the hooks.

You can download it on Thingiverse. You will need to also print two of the Skadis Universal Hooks to attach to it.
